| Oxfordshire County Council are undertaking a countywide childcare assessment of the supply of and demand for childcare. The assessment will identify where there are gaps in the market and through the views of parents, providers, communities and employers, how to address and support childcare provision. | Oxfordshire Childrens Information Service are currently launching their enhanced service across the county. This is a local service to provide impartial, confidential information about child-care and child-related services for parents, carers, employers, professionals, local and national government and their agencies. We also hold information about parent and toddler groups and sports and leisure activities for children. This divides into three sections, pre-school, school age and youth.

There is no charge for parents, carers and childcare providers using the service. To get the information you require there is a telephone help-line, operated by trained staff and available five days a week. In addition there is a 24-hour answer machine facility.
