Eynsham Croquet Club

Croquet is a sport for all kinds of people, for all ages, for everyone regardless of whether they have led a sporting life or not. Croquet is sometimes thought of as a game for older people - but it ain't necessarily so - and it wasn't always thus. . . .

You can start as early as you can swing a mallet, and continue to at least as late as 90 years of age.

Golf Croquet
There are many forms of croquet, developed over the past 150 years, but in Eynsham, the main version is Golf Croquet.

This is less complicated than other forms, and can easily be mastered by beginners, but it also provides a tactical challenge to advanced players.

Golf Croquet is the most sociable of all the versions of croquet and the fun enjoyed by the players in the Eynsham Club can be heard echoing round the playing field.

GOLF CROQUET
Tuesday & Saturday 2 - 4 p.m.
Thursday 10 - 12 p.m.
Wednesday 6 - 8 p.m.

ASSOCIATION CROQUET
Thursday 6 - 8 p.m

Friendly matches are arranged against other local Clubs and we also play in League games within the Southern Federation of the national Croquet Association.

subscription
The current subscription is £50 a year and all equipment is provided, though, and players purchase their own mallets once they have become committed to the game. Coaching is available for beginners.
