The Bartholomew Players

The Bartholomew Players has been running as an amateur dramatic society for over 30 years.
In that time we have performed many plays including comedy, drama and thrillers, and have taken part in several drama festivals. The group is a friendly one, and includes people aged from 16 to 80 with a huge range of skills. We are always excited to meet new people with an interest in the theatre. The group is also social, and we have regular pub nights as well as going to see plays by other groups whenever possible.

We are in urgent need of more members, especially men, to enable us to select from as wide a range of plays as possible. If you have ever thought about acting or were considering returning to the theatre after “resting”, now is the time to join us. We need you!!!

Help backstage is crucial to the success of our productions; there are roles in set/costume design, publicity, dressing, props, prompt, front of house, stage management and so on - even opening and closing the curtains requires somebody!

Why not come along to one of our meetings and see what you think! We meet most Wednesdays from 8pm - 10pm in Eynsham Village Hall, Back Lane, Eynsham.
